Meet the Minds Behind Alliance: Driving Sales Excellence Together

Our Journey to Becoming an Industry Leader
Alliance was founded 13 years ago to fill a critical gap in the market for high-quality, third-party sales support. After experiencing firsthand the challenges of scaling in-house sales teams to manage lead volumes during his tenure at Euromoney, Shaun Brough recognized the need for a reliable partner to handle tasks like telemarketing, delegate sales, prospect research, and renewals. Unable to find a third-party vendor that met these needs, Shaun left his role as Head of Sales at Euromoney and Metal Bulletin (Fastmarkets) to establish Alliance in 2013. His mission was clear—create a superior third-party sales organization to support publishers with precision and trust.
Initially, Alliance’s focus was solely on delegate acquisition, specializing in driving event sales. Over time, with the addition of James Feeney as Managing Partner in 2021, Alliance expanded its capabilities to become a comprehensive sales solution for the publishing and events industries. Today, Alliance offers services spanning subscription sales and renewals, sponsorship and exhibition sales, advertisement selling, appointment setting, and more.
With organic growth fueled by word-of-mouth referrals and a reputation for delivering exceptional results, Alliance has built enduring partnerships with clients, many of whom have been with us since our inception. By integrating seamlessly with our clients’ operations, we have continued to meet and exceed their sales objectives, becoming a trusted extension of their internal teams.
