
Shaun Brough, Managing Partner
As Chairman and a Founding Partner of Alliance, Shaun Brough brings over 25 years of senior-level experience managing high-ticket sales operations in the publishing and events sectors. In his 13 years with the company, he has been a driving force behind its growth, establishing a reputation for hiring exceptional people and running large-scale, intelligent, and productive sales teams on behalf of clients. His in-depth knowledge of industry best practice has been gained globally through managing operations in the UK, US, Asia, and Australia.
Shaun’s career includes senior roles as Commercial Manager at Euromoney, Head of Sales USA at Institutional Investor, and Global Head of Product Sales at Metal Bulletin (now Fastmarkets). This experience informed his vision for Alliance: to provide clients with an outsourced sales force that mirrors the process of an in-house team, but without the management headache. He describes his colleagues as a hardworking and highly organised group, reflecting the professional standards he has instilled in the company culture.
One of Shaun’s best memories is from the early “sweat equity” days of launching the business, working long hours to sell subscriptions and delegate places for Alliance’s first clients. This foundational, hands-on experience remains a cornerstone of the company’s ethos. Now entering semi-retirement as acting Chairman, Shaun looks forward to continuing to support the staff and helping the company achieve its goals.
Based in rural Kent, Shaun spends his time outside of work eating out, golfing, and fishing for seabass.
